The Sugar Club is made up of 3 individual spaces and depending on your requirements can operate as a 3, 2 or 1 room venue with full in house production for any type of media event. After opening in 1963 as The Irish Film Theatre it closed its doors in 1985. It would be another 14 years before the space would re-open and so it was August 1999 that The Sugar Club was born, now well known as a true hidden gem in Dublin 2, it has been an integral part of Dublin’s cultural community rebuild and is a highly regarded multi discipline venue.
Recent clients include: Vodafone, Rabo Direct, Enterprise Ireland, Paddy Power, FAI, Brown Thomas, Digital Times, Enterprise Ireland, The Irish Times, AIB, MCD, Aiken, Sky Arts, Rabo Direct, AIB, TV3, Newstalk and RTÉ.
Recent guest speakers: Robert Ballagh, Frank Murray, BP Fallon, Jim Fitzpatrick, Maser, Stephen James Smith, Emmet Kirwan and Donal Fallon.

team work with our clients (only if needed of course) on every show/launch/event from inception to delivery to make sure you have the best experience in the venue. Apart from live and club shows we also specialise in broadcast/recordings/live streaming, comedy shows, independent theatre, corporate events, presentations, lectures, lunches, dinners, outdoor BBQs and more.

What's In The Space?
From the Landlord
daytime is we cannot host loud music gigs during office hours (9/5 Mon to Fri), otherwise our licence allows us to open from 1100 to 0300 7 days a week. As a licensed venue we prefer not to do underage shows but are open to discussion on an event by event
basis. Daytime and Evening events are possible for underage with soft drinks only and extra supervision.
Tenants can cancel up to a month before for a full refund.
